Your pilot career
Dear Inquirer!
We are glad that You are reading these lines. you must have inquired a lot and in many places; how can You become a pilot too? Please allow us to introduce you to the ways offered by ROGER Flight School Kft. below:
Our company is a DTO organization approved and supervised by the national authorities, which provides beginner training courses for hobby and professional pilot careers.
In general, the training can be completed in 3-5 months (depending on the weather).
We do not recommend more intensive training than this, as the student has to apply all his new knowledge in a completely unknown environment and use it confidently.
If You like one of our courses, the first step to becoming a pilot is the registration process. At this point, the necessary documents to start the training are filled out and the official notification is also made. The training topic, the form of financing and its methods are also introduced to the new student
Our new students take part in theoretical education at home, which is done online by our partner school. During the training, they receive education from nine subjects:
- Principles of flight
- Flying performance and planning
- Operational procedures
- Aircraft general knowledge
- Meteorology
- Navigation
- Communication
- Air law
- Human performance
After arriving in Hungary, the student takes part in a 10-hour ground training at the base airport. At that time, we update the minimum basic knowledge required before starting the flight.
All hobby pilots need a minimum of Class II. type of medical certification. All over the country, this can only be performed by doctors who are specialized in aviation and have the relevant license. We help our students get in touch with the specialist closest to their base.
This exam takes place in front of a computer in a quiz format. During the exam, similarly to the take-home exam by our partner school’s platform, the students must give an account of their knowledge in all subjects. The exam is passed if the candidate achieves a minimum of 75% correct answers in all subjects. If you fail a subject, you can retake the exam from the given subject once. If the supplementary exam is also unsuccessful, the entire exam is unsuccessful.
Every pilot remembers the moment when he or she first sat in the front left seat of an airplane and took off. After successful ground school, the student will be able to start the flying exercises. The practical training takes place with a Cessna 152 aircraft.
After successfully completing the practical training, the student must take an official proficiency exam. During the exam, the student must present all the knowledge acquired during the training. The exam is on average 1.5 hours long and covers all competencies.
After a successful official test, the new pilot will receive his or her professional service license by mail.
After obtaining the license, the pilot can start the time building, which is essential to start a career as a professional pilot. The package offered by our organization provides the pilot with 100 hours of flight time, which will provide him with 100% PIC time. During time building, a safety pilot will be present alongside the pilot-in-command during each flight.
After completing the full package, the pilot will have 145 flight hours and a PPL(A) licence. By this way, all further training can begin, which will help him or her become a professional airline pilot.
